I love coming to Las Montañas Supermarket! From camping trips, party essentials, piñata purchases, and an in-store taqueria, bakery and tortilleria, this spot has it all and one of our favorite, go-to spots! It's a great concept to be able to shop the grocery side while grabbing a snack, juice made on the spot, or baked good! Food highlights include their chicken super burritos, gorditas, pupusas, and fresh dinner sides of rice/refried beans/salsa/chips/sour cream/guac. They have so many yummy other menu options including breakfast, full plates, family style packages, tacos, soups, nachos & more. The store is clean and spacious, clearly labeled & marked, with awesome & helpful staff! Fresh produce & meat/seafood options are also an asset, and love the bakery area - so many choices to choose from it's hard to go wrong! There's a huge parking lot as well, so that's not a worry which is nice. All in all, there's something for everyone at this family-owned and operated supermarket!
Did you know you can get desayunó here?? I got a breakfast burrito with chorizo and an horchata and stole some of my boyfriend's chocolate champurrado... pure HEAVEN. And there's also a seating area right around from where you order so you can enjoy eating before you get your energy back to go shop! It's Halloweentime so everything is themed in black and orange and purple, including the chips and conchas. I love the holiday spirit here! Definitely recommend breakfast here as well as all the other foods they have to offer. Plenty of parking and super friendly service (you don't have to speak perfect Spanish either, some will humor you in English).
First time in this store and I was impressed. There were employees all around to assist when needed. I just came back from Mexico, so I loved being able to practice my Spanish. The produce looked super colorful and delicious! They had a hot food area with a lot of menu items. Just get in line, place your order and wait for it. I went to pick up some Flor de Jamaica or loose leaf Hibiscus tea. I had some great tea in Mexico and wanted to recreate it. Now, that I've seen what's inside of this store I will definitely return. The folks are friendly and welcoming.
Huge selection of Mexican grocery items and notable departments such as the Tortilleria. I came to Las Montanas looking for some plantains which they of course had in stock. Prices are fair. Overall, the place was organized and adequately stocked. I'd probably come back if I needed a niche food item.
